KURZ1000.DK
Loading in the file KURZ1000.DK will set up Band-in-a-Box for the
Kurzweil K1000 synthesizer.
It will set up :
1. Drum #'s for K1000 if you have the KXA-SE extended Sound Block.
2. Patch Map (assigned to factory settings of K1000).
3. Startup Patches and Channels in Midi window.
If you don't have the KXA-SE extended Sound Block then you don't have
any drum sounds. You should either turn the volumn for the drums to 0
or set the channel for drums in the Midi->Midi Channels box to 0.
The only trick to using Band-in-a-Box with the K1000 is setting
the Drum program number on the K1000 to a number less than 128.
For example, the Clean Kit 4 program is assigned program #196.
You will need to use one of the reserved user defined numbers
and point to 196.
I have chosen the first one 64. Below is a step by step description of how
to do it.
1. Select program 196 (Clean Kit 4).
2. Press the Edit key.
3. Press the Channel down key. Readout should be "L1 Program".
4. Press the Program up key twice. Readout should be "Save Program?".
5. Press the Yes key. Readout should be "Save as 064?". The K1000 will
automatically save the Clean Kit program to the first available program
number. This should be 64.
6. Presss Yes key.
7. Press the Edit key to return to Play mode.
That's it. Bring up Band-in-a-Box and have fun.
